The Yellow Mountains were an ancient mountain range located in the south-east of Endor (Middle-earth) between the ancient Sea of Ringol and the ancient East Sea.[1]

HistoryEdit

The Yellow Mountains are shown to have come into existence after Melkor struck down the Two Lamps and the chaos and destruction that followed. However, the Yellow Mountains do not appear on maps of Arda during the time of the Awakening of the Elves in name.[1] The Yellow Mountains location in the world is also seen on varying maps of the Dark Lands or South Land, but the information on its whereabouts is very unclear.
