Dusseault c. 2015

Yanick Dusseault is a CGI and visual effects artist.

Dusseault drew scenic concept art, primarily in matte paintings, for The Lord of the Rings film trilogy (2001 - 2003) as part of Weta Digital alongside Roger Kupelian, Jeremy Bennett, Gus Hunter, Wayne Haag, Dylan Cole, Max Dennison, and Paul Lasaine.[1][2]

In 2001, after the trilogy's production had finished, he left Weta and joined Industrial Light & Magic, where Weta Digital supervisor Joe Letteri had once worked, prior to the 1990s.

In 2018, Dusseault joined Raynault Visual Effects, based in Toronto, Canada, founded by Mathieu Raynault, who also had worked on The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, in Visual Effects.

Dusseault has served as a matte or digital artist on extensive fantasy and science fiction films, such as Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003), Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith (2005), Mission: Impossible III (2006), Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008), Super 8 (2011), Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011), Star Trek Into Darkness (2013), Rogue One (2016), Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019), Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore (2022), and Thor: Love and Thunder.

He resides in San Francisco, California.
