Whitwell was a village or settlement of the Shire, likely in the Westfarthing. It was located on the Green Hills, near Tuckborough, and was surrounded by farmland.[1]
History[]
Whitwell is only mentioned once in the writings of J.R.R. Tolkien, by Peregrin Took when speaking to Bergil in Minas Tirith. Pippin names Whitwell as the place where his father, Thain Paladin II Took, had a farm.[1]
