White Wolves were a type of wolf that lived in the north of Middle-earth, known only from their appearance in the Shire during the Fell Winter in TA 2911.[1] The harsh conditions brought by this winter evidently allowed the wolves to leave their normal habitat, afterwards invading Eriador and eventually the Shire, due to the rare event of the Brandywine freezing over.[2]

Nothing else is known of these wolves.
