Vorotemnar were great manacles made to hold Melko (Melkor) in the earlier forms of the legendarium.

They combined with the chain Angaino and Ilterindi, the fetters were to hold Melko indefinitely.

Vorotemnar were made by the Vala Aulë out of the metal Tilkal and were said to bind forever. When Tulkas had finally subdued Melko, Aulë set both wrists in the manacles.[1][2]
