Tompollë was the location of the Great Bear-dance in Númenor. It lay in the Forostar region.
Each autumn, many would come to the dance from all parts of the island, since it occurred not long after the Eruhantalë.[1]
Etymology[]
Tompollë is a Quenya name, though its meaning is untold. It has been suggested that Tompollë may be of the root tom ("of resonant sounds") and tompa ("small drum").[2]
