Tolkien's Art: A Mythology for England is a book by Jane Chance about the components and development of J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth legendarium that suited his vision for it of being a "mythology for England", as well as the related significance and connections of Tolkien's short stories and Medieval works. It was published by University Press of Kentucky in October 2001.

It is not an art book.

The first chapter's title is a play on "Monsters and the Critics", part of a title given by Tolkien to his 1936 lecture on Beowulf.
