The Siege of Gondor is the fourth chapter of Book Five of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Return of the King.
Plot[]
The plot's focus switches back to Gandalf and Pippin, and the preparations in the city of Minas Tirith for the attack by the armies of Mordor. Minas Tirith is besieged with towers and catapults; the chapter ends with the Great Gate of the City being broken by Grond, and the army of Rohan finally arriving.
