The One Wiki to Rule Them All
This page concerns the real world.

The Plants of Middle-earth: Botany and Sub-creation is a book by literary scholar Dinah Hazell, published by The Kent State University Press in 2015.

Dinah Hazell examines all real-world and invented plants that J.R.R. Tolkien, a lover of things that grow, used to furnish his world of Middle-earth. The book seeks to show that Tolkien's fauna serve a narrative function and enhance the immediacy of his imaginary world, predominantly in The Lord of the Rings.

Illustrations are featured throughout, of each item, by Linda Logan, Marsha Mello, Gloria Liang, and Linda Wade.
