The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power - Season Three is the third season of the live-action TV series produced by Amazon MGM Studios.

Season Three was reported as officially greenlit on February 13, 2025 with pre-production and filming was expected to begin in spring of the year[2] with the official start in mid-May of 2025 at Shepperton Studios.[3]

Season Three will start several years after the end of Season Two, at the height of the war between Sauron and the Elves.[4] Sauron seeks to craft the One Ring, which will give him the edge in the war.[2]
