The Hand of Castamir is a Gondor enemy created by Fantasy Flight Games for The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game. He is encountered in The Steward's Fear adventure pack.
Biography[]
The Hand of Castamir is Gondorian traitor who is secretly in league with Sauron's servants. He is part of a conspircy plot, under Mordor’s bidding that seeks to usurp the stewardship and deliver the Kingdom Gondor to Sauron. What his real name is, is not known. The Hand of Castamir is an alias name to conceal his identity; taking that of a former traitor of Gondor.
His armor from the looks might just be cloth. Anything else about his character is hard to distinguish due to the darken atmosphere.
Strategy[]
The Hand of Castamir's greatest threat is his special ability to reveal an additional encounter card (only if it has an When Revealed Effect, otherwise it is discarded) and making a second attack against the first player. It is best to defend against him with characters that have 3 or more defense value. To defeat him it is best use many characters with 2-3 attack strength or a few with higher attack.
