Line 1: Line 1:

This tribute to The Green Dragon Inn is sung by Meriadoc Brandybuck and Peregrin Took while they dance on a table at the Rohirric victory celebration at Edoras. Some of the lines are sung slightly off rhythm with each other, almost as if the Hobbits were starting to sing a round; whether they are actually intending to sing in a round and change their minds or whether this is merely an effect of them having more than a pint is unknown.

"Oh you can search far and wide,
You can drink the whole town dry,
But you'll never find a beer so brown,

Oh you'll never find a beer so brown,

As the one we drink in our hometown,
As the one we drink in our hometown.
You can drink your fancy ales,
You can drink them by the flagon,
But the only brew for the brave and true,
Comes from the Green Dragon!!"
