The Gospel According to Tolkien: Visions of the Kingdom in Middle-earth is a book by Ralph C. Wood arguing for spiritual and Christian themes behind the strong allure of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings to its wide readership. Proposed themes are charity, faith, and hope. The book was published by Westminster John Knox Press in October 2003. An audiobook was released in 2005, read by Nadia May.
Its title refers to the Gospel of the Bible's New Testament.
