General Targg was a Dunlending military commander during the War between Rohan and Dunland. He is a character invented or The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim (2024).

Biography

Targg was a long serving and trusted advisor of Freca and later his son Wulf. He is skilled in the ways of strategy and warfare. He shares his liege's disdain for the Rohirrim under the rule of Helm Hammerhand and a ruthless commander and a fearsome fighter.

Targg is part of Freca's delegation to Edoras to seek an alliance through marriage of Wulf and Helm's daughter, which was rebuffed. He is present when Freca was killed by Helm soon afterwards. Years later, he is a lieutenant of Wulf's during his retaliatory war against Rohan.
