I really wish Tolkien had given more detail on this decisive, final battle in The War of the Jewels. For example, which of the Valar accompanied the "mighty host"..? We know the host was led by Manwe's herald Eonwe, but did Tulkas and/or Orome accompany them? Finarfin commanded the High Noldor and Ingwe led the Vanyar, but what of the other Noldor and Elves of Middle-Earth, who led them? ...Maedhros and Maglor? Who commanded the Houses of the Edain? Who commanded the Dwarves? None of these details have been addressed. During the conflict did Morgoth hide in Angband or did he join the field of battle with Sauron and the rest of his host? If anyone knows the answers to these questions, or would simply like to speculate, then your input would be appreciated.--Eärnur 02:04, March 11, 2012 (UTC)
Good points. For me however, Something that upsets me about this battle is how weak Morgoth's initial forces were. I understand that the armies of Aman are the best trained and deadliest in all of Arda, and that the dragons are supposed to be the strongest of all of Morgoth's servents(if not the most powerful of all creatures in Arda) but I would imagine Morgoth knew sooner or later he'd have to confront Aman. So he'd have to give his other troops some sort of dark upgrades for them. And I understand this is the battle that defeated him, but in a final battle sequence, both armies need to be at their A-game, but it should have been brilliant tactics that defeated Morgoth, not the strength of armies from the Arda equivalent to heaven.
In Morgoth's Ring, it is said that Morgoth form was destroyed, but i never saw any sources telling he was beheaded and that his spirit was still chained.

Please edit the Punjabi words on the "War of Wrath" Page, as it is protected.
In the translations, "War of Wrath" in Punjabi is shown as:

That actually means "War of Anger". It should be ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਦੀ ਜੰਗ "War of Wrath"
It is my native tongue, and have learned to advanced level.
