This article is, essentially, a retelling of his major episodes in LOTR. Could it not be improved by recasting the narrative into more of an encyclopedic form—at least in the Bio section?--N3rus 09:09, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
A Ruling Steward
In Peoples of Middle Earth HoME volume XII, Faramir is held to be the twenty-seventh Ruling Steward,
He succeeded by right on the death of his father, but in the same year surrendered the rod and rule to King Elessar and so was the last Ruling Steward.
It could be argued that he served as Ruling Steward de jure from 15 March 3019 until King Elessar's coronation on 1 May 3019.
Although, there exists conflicting information, the texts of Return of the King Book V, Chapter Eight, and Book VI Chapter Five imply strongly that Faramir is a Ruling Steward of Gondor, despite the notation in Appendix A to the contrary.NJZimmermann 20:17, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
I demand to have qwords with the person who wrote about Faramir's fighting style. At no point is his sword craft questioned in the book and Eowyns comments seeming to suggest that he was an amazing fighter. If it's refering to the movie, his ample ability was shown in the fights at Osgiliath were he fought many orcs. If someone does not reply with a suitable reason for judging Faramirs swordsmanship then i shall change it to reflect what i believe was his true ability with a blade
Faramir's date of birth
Faramir's date of birth is listed as TA 2981 in the mini-bio and TA 2983 in the longer bio...which is right? 18.104.22.168 18:50, November 17, 2013 (UTC)
