Elves?[]
Why does this article use the version of events from the film (which is NOT canon), rather than how it really happend according to Tolkien? The two accounts are vastly different, and I find this article somewhat inflammatory, as the inclusion of Elves at Helm's Deep was one of the changes most upsetting to Tolkien purists. I would hope that this will get resolved promptly.

I'm curious as to what source states that 500 elves were sent to Helms Deep, and 20 returned. In "the Lord of the Rings: Weapons and Warfare" by Chris Smith, only 200 are present at the battle, none of whom survive.
Infobox errors[]
Folks, about 2,000 Rohirrim arrived in both the movie and the book, its just that in the book they were led by Erkenbrand of Westfold, not Eomer (Eomer was defending the Hornburg alongside Aragorn). And the Huorns arrived in the extended cut version of the movie as well as the book.
The current infobox suggests that no Rohirrim reinforcements arrived in the book, and forgets to mention that Huorns arruved in the extended cut of the movie.
I wanted to fix this but the article appears to be semi-protected.
