Kind of a weird thought connecting Mace Windu to Aule.[]
Aule's power of craft and making is great and the closest to Eru. It grants the user power. Great power. Melkor was the greatest of the Valar, Sauron was the greatest of the Maiar and Saruman was the greatest of the Istari. And then the fact that all of Aule's students became corrupted by power was what made me think of Mace Windu and the lightsaber style Vaapad. Out of all the jedi in the previous order, Mace was one of the few who could walk on the twilight between the light and the dark. His style also reflected this because it would draw in the foe's aggression and return it while enhancing the fighter using their own aggression. Only Mace could use this style and all of his students fell to the dark side by being corrupted by the power of Vaapad. Vaapad is arguably the strongest style but take tremendous discipline and control to not be tempted by its power. Of all the Ainuar only Aule was not corrupted by the temptations of his gift which put him and others who possessed it closest to Eru.
