Tales and Songs of Bimble Bay are a series of poems written by J.R.R. Tolkien. Although Humphrey Carpenter wrote that they were written in 1922,[1] Christina Scull and Wayne G. Hammond place the time of composition as being around 1928.[2] At one point, Tolkien considered including The Mewlips as part of the series when it was initially called Bimble Bay a song on the Borders.[3]
