Events

• Gandalf enters Dol Guldur and confirms that the evil thereby found is indeed Sauron returned living under the name 'the Necromancer'.
• Gandalf also finds Thráin II, son of Thrór and father of Thorin II being held prisoner there and receives the Key to the Side-door and Thrór's Map from him.
• Thráin II dies in prison in Dol Guldur.
