Stephen Beresford
Stephen Beresford (born 1972 in London, England) is an English writer and actor. He was educated at London's Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, and in 1994 began acting in TV series and short productions. His more recent occupation of screenwriting has earned him a nomination for Best Screenplay by British Independent Film Awards, and a win for the "Outstanding Debut by a British Writer" category of the 2014 British Academy Film Awards.
With David Gleeson, Beresford wrote the screenplay of Searchlight Pictures' 2019 biographical film Tolkien, about J.R.R. Tolkien's early years.
