In adaptations[]
Middle-earth Role Playing[]
In the module, Southern Gondor: The Land, of the Middle-earth Role Playing game, there is information about settlements and sites, the history, geography, flora and fauna, inhabitants, politics and power and warcraft of Harithilien. It is mentioned that the Emyn Arnen define the boundary dividing Harithilien (South Ithilien) from Forithilien (North Ithilien).
The Lord of the Rings Online[]
In The Lord of the Rings Online, South Ithilien was located in Eastern Gondor opposite Lossarnach and the Pelennor Fields across the Anduin. A ford to the south-west connected South Ithilien to Lossarnach. A cliff in the south prevented access to Ithilien south of Lossarnach. The Rangers of Ithilien set up a camp in the abandoned estate of "Bâr Húrin" of the House of Húrin, in addition to a camp closer to Osgiliath.
