The skirmishes of the Falas were military battles fought by the Nargothronders between the River Sirion and the banks of the Falas after the bridge was built across the entrance to Nargothrond upon the advice of Túrin Turambar to King Orodreth of Nargothrond. The Elves cleared the area of enemies, but they ignored Círdan's and Ulmo's advice to remove the bridge. After the Battle of Tumhalad, Glaurung used the bridge to destroy the city along with the Orcs.
