Seregost was a fortress in central-northern Mordor just south of the Ered Lithui, on the Mithram Spur, and was the principle protection of the Mithram Gap. Despite its proximity to Mount Doom, it was bitterly cold and snowbound no matter the season.
Seregost is non-canonical, as it does not appear in the works of J.R.R. Tolkien.
Portrayal in adaptations Edit

- Seregost is a raid location in The Lord of the Rings Online.
- It also appears in the map of Mordor created by TheLandOfShadow.com, as a castle in a fiery region filled with lava.
