Sam McBride, Ph.D. is a scholar of the Inklings and professor of English studies at La Sierra University in Riverside, California.
With Candice Fredrick, McBride authored Women Among the Inklings: Gender, C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, and Charles Williams, published in 2001. His next major work concerning J.R.R. Tolkien was Tolkien's Cosmology: Divine Beings and Middle-earth, published in 2020.
McBride also wrote the article, "Stewards of Arda: Creation and Sustenance in J.R.R. Tolkien's Legendarium", presented in Melissa Brotton's collection, Ecotheology in the Humanities: An Interdisciplinary Approach to Understanding the Divine and Nature, published by Lexington Books in 2016.[1]
