The Ringwraith sword were long swords of black steel that were hand-forged in Mordor for the Ringwraiths, the deadliest servants of Sauron.

They wielded these weapons mainly during the War of the Ring until their deaths in March 25, 3019, when Sauron was finally destroyed.

Behind the Scenes Edit

  • The swords in the film trilogy appear as long black swords with hilts that appear to be adorned with thorns and leather grip handles. They also have a ring-shaped hole near the hilt. At some points, the blade seems to glow red, but this is most likely because of the light.
