Ringers: Lord of the Fans is a comedic 97-minute documentary addressing the cultural influence of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings and the growth of Middle-earth fandom, released in 2005.
Written by Clifford Broadway and Carlene Cordova and distributed by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment on the heels of the great success of The Lord of the Rings films, it features Peter Jackson and numerous chief actors from the films. Dominic Monaghan, who had portrayed the Hobbit Merry in the films, narrates.
Ringers: Lord of the Fans won Outstanding Achievement in a Documentary at the 2005 Newport Beach Film Festival, and was nominated for Best DVD Release at the American Saturn Awards in 2006.
