Revion was the Watchwarden of the Silvan Elves stationed in the Southlands in the Second Age.
Biography[]
Revion led a number of his people in occupying part of the Southlands, for its inhabitants had once sided with Morgoth. When Gil-galad declared the days of war to be over, Revion accordingly instructed those under his command to leave. He soon thereafter came to the watchtower of Ostirith where he spoke to Arondir, expressing the belief that the people of the Southlands had not changed since supporting Morgoth.
Soon afterwards, Revion's company was attacked and enslaved by Orcs under the command of Adar; they were made to help dig a vast trench to further Adar's search for an unidentified object. A short time later, the excavation reached a large tree, which Revion refused to cut down. The Orc-chief Magrot initially feigned that he was impressed by the Elf's courage, but slew Médhor by surprise, as retribution. This incited a rebellion, in which Revion and Arondir fought off a warg released by the Orcs. Revion was able to break his chains and attempted to escape the trench, only to be shot down by Orc-archers before he had the chance to warn his kin of the coming evil.
Behind the scenes[]
Revion's character was created for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, and as such is non-canonical. He is portrayed by Simon Merrells.
