Remmirath was a constellation in Arda.
In the Third Age, it could be clearly seen in the eastern sky during autumn.[1] It corresponds to the real-world Pleiades star cluster.[2][3]
Etymology[]
Remmirath means "Netted Stars" in Sindarin.[2]
In earlier versions of the legendarium, they were called Itseloktë in Early Quenya and Sithaloth, or Sithaloctha, in Gnomish, both meaning "fly-cluster".[4][5]
