Prince of Ithilien, was a title created for Faramir, the Steward of Gondor and his descendants by King Elessar after the War of the Ring.

History of the Title

King Elessar created the subsidiary titles of Prince of Ithilien and Lord of Emyn Arnen for Faramir, the Steward of Gondor and invested Faramir as, the first Prince of Ithilien on May 1, 3019. Following the death of Faramir in FO 82, his son Elboron succeeded him as the second Prince of Ithilien.
