Peter Gilliver (born June 1964 in Yorkshire, England) is a writer and lexicographer who became an Associate Editor of the Oxford English Dictionary in the 1987. He has authored books and articles on J.R.R. Tolkien, who contributed to 'W' section of the O.E.D. in 1919 - 1920.[1] Gilliver saw publication of his own long-time project, The Making of the Oxford English Dictionary, in 2016.
