Narthseg was an Elf of the First Age notable for his betrayal of Artaner to the Dwarves of Nogrod.

History

Narthseg was an Elf of Artanor (later changed in Doriath). During the battle in the Thousand Caves, Narthseg, just like Ufedhin, chose to betray his king revealing crucial information that help the treacherous Dwarves from Belegost and Nogrod to pass the Girdle of Melian and enter in Menegroth, order to seize the Nauglamír. However, Narthseg was slain in the battle that resulted in Thingol's death.
