The Hobbit film trilogy[]

In the first film of Peter Jackson's The Hobbit film trilogy, Mungo is referred to as Grandpa Mungo by Bilbo Baggins when he identifies a chair belonging to him in the possession of Glóin. Just as Bilbo is about to order him to take it back, he gets sidetracked when Óin brings in another one of Mungo's antique chairs. Bilbo then drives him back, demanding that he puts the chair back where he got it because it is "not for sitting on". It is untold if Bilbo was successful or not.
