Morfydd Clark (born March 17, 1989) is a Welsh actress who portrays a version of the Elf Galadriel in Amazon Studios' The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.[1] She also briefly portrays Sauron in the show, when the Dark Lord has used an illusion to make himself look like Galadriel.[2] Her first name is pronounced mor-fið.
Clark was born in Sweden and raised in Cardiff, Wales. She was trained at the Drama Centre London.[3]
Career[]
Clark has appeared in many theatre productions, films, and series since 2014 including The Call Up, The Man Who Invented Christmas, His Dark Materials, and the upcoming Hamlet adaptation as Ophelia.
In 2020, Clark won Best Actress at BAFTA Cymru for her role in the horror film, Saint Maud.
