Michael L. Martinez was a well-known Tolkien scholar. He was born in 1959. His first published book was Parma Endorion: Essays on Middle-earth in 1996. Over the years, he had published many works such as Visualizing Middle-earth in 2000, Understanding Middle-earth in 2003, and Mindfaring through Middle-earth in 2014. He has a section on MERP.com where these works can be found online and read.
