Methed-en-glad was a stronghold in Dor-Cúarthol, in Beleriand during the First Age.

The Methed-en-glad was located at the edge of the forest of Nivrim that stood within the Girdle of Melian south the river Teiglin.[1]

The Methed-en-glad was built in the short time that Beleg Cúthalion, Túrin Turambar, and his band of outlaws effectively defended the area surrounding the Amon Rûdh. However, after the betrayal of Mîm Dor-Cúarthol fell and the small outlaw band that defended it was killed save for Túrin and Beleg. Afterwards, the stronghold became unmanned and probably fell into disrepair and was later destroyed.[2]

Methed-en-glad is Sindarin for 'End of the Wood'.[citation needed]
