In TA 2941, Worrywort appears selling tubers near the market at the Green Dragon Inn. When Bilbo Baggins shops at the market after encountering Gandalf he asks Worrywort if he has seen the wizard and he replies that he hasn't. When Bilbo is leaving to join Thorin II Oakenshield and the other Dwarves on their journey to the Lonely Mountain, Worrywort asks where he is off to. Later, he is the first to greet Bilbo when he returns to the Shire. But he quickly figures out that Bilbo should be dead and shouldn't be there.
