The Mark of Adar was an imprint, usually applied as a fiery brand, on the body of the ones who sweared their diligence to Adar. Most of the people who had this mark were refugees from Tirharad or other parts of the Southlands after Mount Doom's eruption. Those who had the mark were distrusted as we see with Arondir and Estrid.
Behind the scenes[]
The mark was invented for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power and as such is non-canonical.
