Marcho was a Fallohide-hobbit adventurer and one of the founders of the Shire.
Biography[]
Originally living in Bree, he and his brother Blanco, along with a large following of hobbits, obtained permission from the King of Arthedain, Argeleb II, seated at Fornost to journey westward in search of new lands to settle. By TA 1601, he and his followers reached a rich and fertile land, between the Brandywine River and the Far Downs, where they founded the Shire.[1]
