Introduced with "Fæder his þriddan suna", Tolkien felt it had been quite a while (really 8 days) since he had composed. Tolkien and his wife did not know when Christopher Tolkien had left or to where.
Tolkien related neighborhood news, of which the most by and by essential was a stay in an air strike superintendent room. Tolkien's buddy was Cecil Roth whom he discovered brimming with appeal and tenderness. Roth had woken up Tolkien at 10 to 7:00 so that he could go to Communion, which felt like a short lived look of an unfallen world. Tolkien had considered not going but rather one dismal look by this tender Jew at his rosary settled the matter. He had been colloguing with siblings Lewis and C. Williams. Tolkien said that the fouls. declined to lay yet despite everything he needed to clean their lair.
Alluding to the most obvious toward the start of his letter, Tolkien clarified that he would now number every letter and every page so that Christopher would know whether anything went amiss.
