Letter 354 is the three hundred and fifty-fourth and the last letter written by J.R.R. Tolkien and published in The Letters of J.R.R. Tolkien.

Summary[]

Tolkien tells Priscilla that he safely reached in Bournemouth securely, yet surprisingly, he discovered he lost his bank card when he came to the Miramar Hotel. While Dr. Martin Tolhurst, a companion of Tolkien's, was looking for his wallet, the Miramar crossed out his reservation, and made him another one, from September 4 to September 11. He would stay with the Tolhursts until further notice, and was anticipating the amplified occasion. He might want to visit Christopher Wiseman, who was in Milford at the time. Tolhurst discovered the wallet; Tolkien had abandoned it at The Red Lion in Salisbury.
