Leslie A. Donovan, Ph.D. is a writer and professor of humanities and Tolkien courses, among others, at the University of New Mexico. She is known for compiling Perilous and Fair: Women in J.R.R. Tolkien's Work and Life (2015) with Tolkien scholar Janet Brennan Croft. She is a member of the Mythopoeic Society.
After overseeing the essay collection Approaches to Teaching Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings and Other Works, published by the Modern Language Association in 2015, she became a proprietor of (or may have founded) Waymeet, a resource for those intending to form Tolkien-related curricula in education.
