Lemberin, or Lembian, was a name in early versions of the legendarium for the Avarin languages, more particularly the Telerin. It was spoken by the Lembi Elves, and was the most scattered and diverse among the languages.[1]

In the early writings, the Quendian (Elvish) languages were divided into three: the Eldarin, Ilkorin, and Lemberin.

The Sindarin names Thranduil, Legolas, Amroth, and Nimrodel were considered as Lemberin. Celeborn's native tongue was originally Lemberin, but was later changed to Telerin.[2]
