Talk: Articles for deletion

The system for deleting articles here is bureaucratic and wastes far too much time. Why not simply use the "{{afd}}" (or indeed, why not just "{{delete}}"?) template to mark a page for deletion and then allow users to discuss it on the article talk page? -- KingAragorn  talk  contribs  edits  email  12:24, June 26, 2011 (UTC)
