Lóni was a Dwarf of Durin's Folk.[1]
Biography[]
Lóni entered Moria with Balin, Frár, Óin, Ori, Flói, and Náli in their attempt to form a colony there in TA 2989. Lóni was killed in a battle some five years later, in TA 2994, while defending the Bridge of Khazad-dûm and the Second Hall alongside Náli and Frár.
His story was told in the Book of Mazarbul, which was found by Gandalf when he and the Fellowship passed through Moria during their travels.[2]
