Knight of Gondor was a title of the Kingdom of Gondor.
The title referred to the nobility of Gondor, who fought as mounted soldiers during wartime. Peregrin Took, a member of the Fellowship of the Ring was knighted by King Elessar after the War of the Ring ended, for his services to Gondor during the Battle of the Pelennor Fields and the Battle of the Black Gate.
