Jonathan S. McIntosh is an American philosopher and Humanities professor teaching at New Saint Andrews College in Moscow, Idaho, U.S.A.
A devoted studier of J.R.R. Tolkien, he has authored The Flame Imperishable: Tolkien, St. Thomas, and the Metaphysics of Faërie, published in 2017, and had contributed an article concerning the Ainulindalë to Music in Middle-earth (2010), part of the Cormarë Series.
In August 2019, McIntosh gave a virtual lecture about Tolkien's use of eucatastrophe in his writings.
