JRR Tolkien, le seigneur des écrivains (French for "J.R.R. Tolkien, the Lord of the Writers") is an hour-long documentary by television host and journalist François Busnel and Adrien Soland, produced by France Télévisions and Rosebud Productions in 2014. Narrated by Busnel, it covers the life of J.R.R. Tolkien, the development of his two famous novels, and their effect on the modern era. The documentary was made as part of the seventh season of Busnel's talk-show, La Grande Librarie.
Interviewees include John Garth, author of Tolkien and the Great War, Vincent Ferré, author of Dictionnaire Tolkien, acclaimed author George R. R. Martin, and Medieval professor Leo Carruthers.
