J.R.R. Tolkien: The Making of a Legend is a biography of J.R.R. Tolkien by Colin Duriez, published in 2012 by Lion Hudson Ltd..
Duriez chose to write the biography in part because of new documents, private letters, et cetera that surfaced after the time Humphrey Carpenter wrote the prevalent book J.R.R. Tolkien: A Biography.
