The Italian Tolkien Society (or Società Tolkieniana Italiana), like the original British Tolkien Society, celebrates J.R.R. Tolkien and his works, organizing fairs, conferences, and exhibition, and offering paid membership. It was founded in 1992, on the heels of a lecture series in Italy by Patricia Reynolds.
Their website includes a shop for many Italian translations of primary Tolkien literature, and studies by Italian enthusiasts and scholars.
It is not be confused with the Associazione Italiana Studi Tolkieniani.
